We deeply regret to announce the passing of Jos Besselink, who passed away on 9 April at the age of 89. Jos taught music theory and choral conducting for many years at Conservatorium Maastricht, and conducted both the conservatoire choir and the choir of the Koepelkerk in Maastricht.
He came from a musical family closely connected to our conservatoire of the arts. His brother Hans was deputy director of the conservatoire and the Toneelacademie, and his sister Mya is a respected vocal teacher.
We remember Jos as a passionate musician and an inspiring colleague. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
