Anastasia Safonova

Anastasia Safonova began her professional career at the age of 12 with a successful performance of Mendelssohn’s piano concerto with the Moscow Junior Symphony Orchestra. She graduated cum laude from the Gnessins Institute Moscow and continued her studies on the Master’s programme at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague with Naum Grubert.

Anastasia won first prize at the International Yamaha Music and Youri Egorov competitions.
She is regularly invited to perform at major venues across the Netherlands including: Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen Rotterdam, De Vereniging Nijmegen, Frits Philips Eindhoven, Beurs van Berlage Amsterdam, Philharmonie Haarlem, Muziekcentrum Enschede, and Theater aan het Vrijthof Maastricht. She also appears regularly for concerts in Russia, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Turkey, and China.
Anastasia Safonova has appeared as a guest at many international festivals such as  the Schleswig Holstein Festival (Germany), The Bourglingster Festival (Luxembourg), Pianoscope (France) The Tiberius Festival (Romania), the Ankara Chamber Music Festival (Turkey), Music of Earth (Russia) and the Grachtenfestival (The Netherlands).
She has performed with leading musicians including als Boris Berezovsky, Boris Belkin, Michael Kugel, Henri Demarquette, Lisa Ferschtman, and Joachim Eijlander. As a soloist she has performed with the Neue Westfalen Symphony Orchestra, Johan Willem Friso Kapel, and the Sigen Symphony Orchestra. She has recorded for Brava TV Concertzender and Radio 4 (The Netherlands).
She has taught Piano in the Classical Music department of Conservatorium Maastricht since 2000.
