Een bijzondere hoorndag in Maastricht voor jonge getalenteerde hoornisten uit Nederland, België en de Euregio.
We nodigen jonge getalenteerde hoornisten samen met hun docenten uit voor een uitwisselingsdag met de hoofdvakdocenten van het Maastrichts Conservatorium. Deze uitwisseling is voornamelijk gericht op het stimuleren van jong talent en het verstrekken van informatie over de mogelijkheden die er zijn als professioneel hoornspeler. Hierbij vinden hoofdvakdocenten het waardevol om ook informatie te ontvangen van de desbetreffende mentoren. Door deze projecten kunnen we jongtalent meer motiveren om te kiezen voor een carrière als musicus. Daarnaast willen we graag informatie uitwisselen met de docenten over nieuwe methodes en de didactische werkwijze met het jeugdig talent.
Vanuit Conservatorium Maastricht zullen hoofdvakdocenten Hoorn Willy Bessems en Will Sanders aanwezig zijn.
De dag begint om 10:00 uur in Conservatorium Maastricht, gelegen aan de Bonnefantenstraat 15, 6211 KL, met individuele lessen en gezamenlijke gesprekken. Er is de mogelijkheid om te spelen met een pianobegeleider en om het muziekstuk voor te bereiden dat gespeeld zal worden tijdens eventuele deelname aan het concours. Aansluitend, van 14:00 tot 16:00 uur, vindt in Kapel Opveld een concours plaats voor alle deelnemers. De hoofdvakdocenten voor hoorn zullen samen met het publiek de winnaars selecteren en de prijzen uitreiken.
Om 16:30 is er een spectaculair afsluitend concert met het Hoornensemble “Trompa Brasilis” onder leiding van Will Sanders.
Deelname staat open voor hoornisten in de leeftijd van 12 tot 20 jaar.
Het inschrijfgeld bedraagt € 20, per jeugdig talent.
Voor het concours is de keuze van het repertoire vrij, maar de uitvoering mag niet langer duren dan 10 minuten.
Docenten en begeleiders zijn gratis welkom.

A special horn day in Maastricht for young talented horn players from the Netherlands, Belgium and the Euregion.
We invite young talented horn players together with their teachers to an exchange day with the principal study teachers of Conservatorium Maastricht. This exchange is mainly aimed at encouraging young talent and providing information about the opportunities available as a professional horn player. In doing so, principal study teachers find it valuable to also receive information from the relevant mentors. Through these projects, we can better motivate young talent to choose a career as a musician. We would also like to exchange information with the teachers about new methods and didactic working methods with young talent.
From Conservatorium Maastricht, main subject teachers in Horn Willy Bessems and Will Sanders will be present.
The day will start at 10:00 am at Conservatorium Maastricht, located at Bonnefantenstraat 15, 6211 KL, with individual lessons and joint discussions. There will be the opportunity to play with a piano accompanist and to prepare the piece of music that will be played during possible participation in the competition. Afterwards, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a competition for all participants will take place in Kapel Opveld. Together with the audience, the horn main subject teachers will select the winners and present the prizes. At 16:30 p.m. there will be a spectacular closing concert with the Horn Ensemble "Trompa Brasilis" conducted by Will Sanders.
Participation is open to horn players aged 12 to 20.
The entry fee is €20, per youthful talent.
For the competition, the choice of repertoire is free, but the performance should not exceed 10 minutes.
Teachers and accompanists are welcome free of charge.
