Composing & Arranging

In our Bachelor’s programme in Composing, Arranging & Performing (CAP), you will learn composing and arranging techniques, and how to perform your work. You will learn to develop musical concepts and shape your artistic identity. Focusing on jazz, you will find yourself in an open-minded setting where you are free to explore your own musical interests. We intend to prepare you for the world of commissions, finding your own way in music.
You will have both main subject, individual and group lessons. In the CAP group, collaboration is key. At least once a year, you will contribute actively to a joint production with your fellow students, which will give you real-life practice.
Create and prepare your own music: develop that first idea into finished compositions and arrangements, and then get ready to rehearse and perform your own projects! Become a band leader and conductor of (small and big) bands and ensembles of varying sizes, on stage or in the studio.
