4 October - Kika Sprangers, Martin Fondse, Jörg Brinkmann
This remarkable combination of three composers and performers with roots in European jazz and chamber music follows many musical paths. The result is a colorful collaboration full of lyrical and melancholic melodies with a minimalist and cinematic atmosphere.
January 2020, Kika Sprangers (saxophone), Martin Fondse (piano & keys, vibrandoneon) and Jörg Brinkmann (cello, electronics) recorded fourteen instrumental pieces in Splendor Amsterdam, together with producer/engineer Chris Weeda (best known for his work with Toots Thielemans ). "Lumen" is their blueprint for exploring new avenues in modern music; an album rich in themes.
