The jazz department of Conservatorium Maastricht welcomes Eran Har Even for its second masterclass in the 2022-2023 series. Join Eran as he provides us with the Tools for the Contemporary Guitarist and works with our guitarists in solo/duo and combo setting.
About Eran Har Even
Israeli guitarist, composer and educator Eran Har Even comes to Maastricht for a 2 part workshop on the 25th of January.
In an interactive masterclass Eran will present his 'Tools for the Contemporary guitarist"; a practical workshop about his approach to the guitar, jazz, composition and improvisation.
Eran Har Even is one of the active figures on the Israeli jazz scene who moved abroad and developed a compelling career. Since his arrival to the city of Amsterdam in 2006, Eran performed, recorded or collaborated with some of the greatest artists on the international scene including: John Swana, Benny Golson, David Friedman, to name a few, got recognition for his solo guitar works from Wayne Shorter, performed as a headliner on major stages all around the world and since more than a decade is a faculty of the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
Eran’s musical works drew public - and media attention by it’s sui generis combination of styles and contemporary musical statements alongside his poetic lyricism which described by the Bimhuis as “A story teller on the guitar”
