It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our highly valued colleague Peter Rijkx, who died last weekend at the age of 66.
Peter was a principal subject teacher of flute at Conservatorium Maastricht for more than 25 years. With his exceptional musicianship, dedication and personal commitment, he inspired and guided generations of students. In addition, he was a renowned performing musician, including as a member of the Bayreuther Festspielorchester and the AULOS Wind Quintet.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, students and former students. We wish them strength and comfort in this time of loss.
