Huayu Gu won the third prize in category B during the Steinway Competition

Last Saturday, the final round of the Steinway Competition for young pianists took place in the Kleine Zaal of The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. We are very pleased to announce that our young student Huayu Gu (13) won the third prize in category B! Huayu played Impromptu nr. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 90, of Franz Schubert, and Rondo capriccioso in E-major, Op. 14, of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. She played these pieces in a very impressive way, with a perfect, crystal clear technic and a stable concentration with a sincere and beautiful musical expression within the right style. This is a fantastic achievement!
