Double Bass student Roberto Leal Rivero from Conservatorium Maastricht has been selected for NOVA, the academy programme of the renowned Balthasar Neumann Choir & Orchestra. Starting next academic year, he will take part in the international talent programme for 18 months.
Roberto, currently in the second year of our Bachelor’s programme in Double Bass, successfully completed the audition rounds. For him, preparation was not only about technique, but above all about mental focus, musical awareness and self-belief.
“For me this is a unique opportunity to learn, share music and ideas, and spend time with incredible musicians. I am eager to grow, be inspired by others and perform with such a prominent orchestra.”
Within NOVA, Roberto will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading musicians and further develop both artistically and professionally.
