The Classical Music department, very international in its composition, is a close-knit community. We work towards one common goal: to let our students blossom, in an amicable atmosphere, into excellent musicians whose energy and creativity offer a valuable contribution to the international world of music and to society.
Jazz at Conservatorium Maastricht is jazz in the broadest sense of the word: classic jazz, bebop, hot, cool, swing, vocalese, mainstream and all jazz-related styles such as Afro-Cuban, Latin, funk, R&B, fusion and crossover pop.
The Music in Education programme has the power to see you as an individual. You will be inspired by our passion for music and education. You will feel it from the day you arrive until long after graduation. This programme is taught in Dutch and in English. If you are already graduated in Bachelor of Music, there is an 2y - international oriented track you can follow after your graduation.
If you choose to study at Conservatorium Maastricht you'll be joining the best connected conservatoire in Europe.
We do not make music for ourselves. We make it for you, our audience. That is why we regularly play in the city and surrounding area, hold jam sessions in various cafés, play Lazy Sunday Concerts or take our productions to nursing homes and schools. We also give public performances at our home base. So keep an eye on our upcoming events!
Conservatorium Maastricht supports not only students, but also teachers in many ways. Cultural entrepreneurship is a very important aspect of Conservatorium Maastricht. The Booking Agency provides students the opportunity to perform outside their study. Also, we provide our students and teachers a platform for their own products.
At Conservatorium Maastricht, we believe in collectivity. In passion. In the will to shine together. To challenge each other and excel ourselves. To add value. In and with music.
